Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning 'Universal life Energy' which is the energy found in all living things. Reiki healing is a natural hands-on technique, and is thought to be thousands of years old.

It is believed to have been used by Tibetan Buddhist monks, and was rediscovered at the end of the nineteenth century by Dr Makao Usui, a Japanese theologian.

The Usui system of Reiki is very simple and powerful, and is easily given and received by anyone. People world-wide now practice Reiki, with rapid growth over the last twenty five years or so, particularly in Europe and America.

REI. The accepted definition Rei is that it means 'Universal' that is present everywhere. The Japanese characters (kanji) spell Reiki and have several levels of meaning which vary from mundane to esoteric. Research into the more esoteric meaning of the kanji for Rei shows that it can be interpreted to mean 'Spiritual Consciousness' or consciousness of the Higher Self, which is, by definition, all knowing.

Ki means 'Life Force' which has been identified by all cultures. The Chinese call it 'chi', and use this term in Feng Shui and acupuncture. In Sanskrit it is known as 'prana' and is widely referred to in yoga. Then on physical energy known as 'ki' animates and flows through all living things.

Ki is used by Shaman's to aid psychic awareness, manifestation and healing. All healers use this energy, regardless of their cultural background or discipline.

REI-KI is a special kind of life force, and it is believed that it can only be channelled after someone has been attuned to the energy.

Reiki treatment is safe in any situation, and is easily combined with orthodox medicine or complementary therapy. No special skill is required. Reiki is our birthright and a part of every one of us.

Reiki is neither a religion, nor a belief system.

Reiki 1.  £125.   
This is an attunement (or initiation) of an ancient process of tuning the healers body, both physical and etheric to a higher vibration. This clears the channel for the energy to flow. Once attuned, this channel will remain open and the energy is available to be used by the healer for the rest of his/her life.

Reiki 11.  £175 (Practitioner).   
During the attunement process, the symbols that I will give you will become imprinted on your nervous system, and they will act as the 'keys', that will make the Reiki energy flow for you.
Reiki symbols are special and quite different from other kinds of healing symbols. Reiki works on the mind of the Higher Power, the source of Reiki itself.
